Outreach/Eligibility
Apartment complex housing for homeless Veterans. Must apply through the VA’s Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Outreach Worker, Denna Green-Corbett.
A 6-month transitional housing program for veterans (no longer 24 months). Must qualify for VA medical services.
Other Veteran Services
The Leon County Division of Veteran Services assists Veterans and their dependents in securing all entitled benefits earned through honorable military service and to advocate for Veteran's interests in the community (Includes assistance with filing claims, obtaining emergency financial assistance, and transportation for homeless Veterans via StarMetro Veterans BusPass program). Mon-Thurs appointments only. Fridays are walk ins only.
Welcoming home war veterans with honor by providing quality readjustment counseling in a caring manner. Vet Centers understand and appreciate Veterans' war experiences while assisting them and their family members toward a successful post-war adjustment in or near their community.
